Last things first

There is lots to be told: April Fools Pranks, April Fools No-pranks and Free Beer. However, last things first.

Anil Ambani, Sunil Mittal, Ratan Tata, Kumaramangalam Birla and others have decided to take on Sharad Pawar and his minions and their assumed monopoly on cricket. Is this a Kerry Packer-esque move to end the monopoly on cricket?

In a collective statement, they said, "...claims that it (BCCI) is the "central Body for governing and controlling the game of cricket in India" and is "responsible for organising all the international cricket matches to be played in India" were pompous, untrue and denied."

I like very much. I don't want to see anyone claim property rights over the awareness of the game. Watch this space to see how it pans out.
